A Practice That 'Prevents the Emergence of a Palestinian State' by Michael Jansen

Eldar said that Rabin did not speak of a “Palestinian state”, but rather of a “Palestinian entity that would be less than a full-fledged state”. He insisted on a “united Jerusalem” which would take in Ma'aleh Adumim and Givat Ze'ev, two Israeli urban colonies extending deep into the West Bank. Israel would also have annexed the Etzion Bloc, Efrat, Betar and other settlements straddling the Green Line, while all other settlements would have remained in situ, some under Palestinian sovereignty.
